High on the Antrim cliffs, overlooking the churning North Castle, Royal Portrush Golf Club meets the ruins of Dunluce Castle- a 13th-century fortress perched dramatically at the edge of the sea. Once home to the MacDonnell clan, the castle now stands in silhouette, weathered by wind and time. This painting capture the moody energy of the Northern Irish Coastline- windswept fairways, crashing waves, and the haunting presence of history. As the British Open returned to Royal Portrush, I wanted to reflect not just the course, but the story imbedded in its landscape.
